As I keep mentioning, a cornerstone of the site promotion for our automated blogs is social bookmarking, we do bookmarking automatically using RssBookmarker and we now add a copy of AutoSocialPoster ‘Lite’ to all our installs.

However, when choosing sites to bookmark at it is worth thinking about whether or not the bookmark site will actually give any credit, in SEO terms, for your bookmarking efforts.

Just to recap, we use social bookmarking for the following reasons:
To pass Pagerank from external pages to our own pages.
To build traffic to our pages.
To provide a path for search engine spiders to our new pages
To improve ranking for our keywords by using anchor text linking

I found a list of bookmark sites that DO pass PageRank and Do send spiders to your bookmarked pages. They do not use the ‘No Follow’ tag on their pages.
